Motorsport is changing, and so are the energies making it. In collaboration with our partners, we are committing to new sustainable forms of motorsports, that will build the mobility of tomorrow.
With TotalEnergies, the race goes electric
TotalEnergies is working hand in hand with DS PENSKE, one of the most successful team in Formula E, in the FIA's first full-electric World Championship. By creating custom fluids, we help bring the team more performance and efficiency, ensuring superior cooling and the safe operation of the battery. In turn, these innovations boost our Quartz EV Fluid range, dedicated to electric vehicles.
With TotalEnergies as partner, Opel is going electric
Opel has launched the ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup, the world's first full-electric one-make rally championship. Powered by TotalEnergies' Quartz EV fluid range for better performance, cooling and range, the German carmaker's nimble and fun to drive Opel Corsa-e Rally car is the perfect platform for up-and-coming drivers to rise and shine in the racing world, while championing sustainable mobility!
Hydrogen enters the race
Partnering with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest and MissionH24, we are making zero-emission endurance racing a reality. Our mobile hydrogen filling station, a world first, enables the innovative electric-hydrogen prototype to be safely and reliably refilled in just three minutes. The aim is to have a new class of hydrogen-powered electric prototypes racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2025.
With TotalEnergies and Peugeot, discover the Hyperformance
Partners for more than 25 years, Peugeot with TotalEnergies is coming back to the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2022. With its new Hypercar 9X8, Peugeot is reaching a new milestone in terms of hybrid and aerodynamic efficiency. TotalEnergies is bringing its expertise to this revolutionary new race car, with tailored fluids and lubricants offering optimal performance and reliability to the hybrid powertrain, and its subsidiary Saft co-developing the high-power density battery.
The World Endurance Championship becomes 100% certified sustainable fuel*
Marking the 10th season of the championship, 2022 sees the introduction of Excellium Racing 100, a 100% certified sustainable fuel*, made using viticulture residues, which brings at least 65% of CO2 emissions**. As official fuel supplier of the championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, we are proud to deliver the next step in sustainable endurance racing to all contestants.
** In line with the methodology provided by the European RED II directive (2018/2001), Excellium Racing 100 can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 65% compared to its fossil equivalent.
